Why God Gives Misery?

To make us aware. If we were watching a pleasant dream, then we would have slept forever.

If there were no sorrow in life there would have been no place for religion too. Sorrow is not our enemy but on the contrary it constantly makes us aware, it shakes are deep-rootedness in unconsciousness. It inspires us to go beyond it by awakening our consciousness. It helps us to explore our own hidden talent. Our search for a way to transcend the misery leads to our self-growth.

The birds, animals and insects never tried to get rid of misery as they all are unaware about its existence, thus there is no sign of progress in them. The human race is the only race of it’s kind which can make progress; it can step ahead itself.

Why so? The reason behind this is the same sorrow, misery, pain and sadness. Had they not been in our life, our intelligence would have ever sharpened. We would have remained a dull, stupid. We would have spent our entire life like the animals. So, do not ever consider sorrow, pain as our enemy but remember it is essential in the process of our development. They are absolutely necessary for our awakening. And the day we start looking at things in this manner; we will be obliged towards to God. We shall be filled with gratitude towards Him. In your question, there is a hidden complain; an anger, a disgust is within you.
If you could see this quality of sorrow than you will be thankful to the entire existence even for the misery, pain and sorrow that it gave you.
