How can we see god?

I AM COLLEGE STUDENT AND I WISH TO SEE GOD. KINDLY TELL ME WHAT SHALL I DO? SHOULD I GO TO TEMPLES, READ HOLY SCRIPTURES, CHANT MANTRAS, DO BHAJANS AND KEERTANS, OFFER MYSELF TO DIETIES, DO PILGRIMAGES OR HAVE A BATH IN RIVER GANGES?

No. Nothing will happen by doing this. Numbers of people are practicing all these things in the world, but by doing all this they have not come closer to God. I would not tell you to bath in the holy rivers. If taking a bath in Ganges could make us religious then the frogs and fishes would have been the first. There are so many frogs and fishes in Ganges itself. Not only there are fishes and frogs in Ganges but there are also crocodiles, have they all experienced divinity? By reading Ramayan and Geeta one cannot reach to the ultimate; the insects and the rats not read them but they eat it all. Numerous rats chew up the holy books, you just read it superficially and those rats get them digested in their bodies. Thus, it is certain if they do attain to Godliness how can you do simply by reading scriptures and holy books. You will not have the experience of God through books because God is not trapped in the books. Is God imprisoned in temples? God is the ultimate liberation, Moksha, how can be imprisoned at one particular place? Go within and know your inner self. God is omnipresent but it will be easier to find it within oneself. What could be closer to us than our own self? So, why not we start searching it within ourselves? If God is all pervading than he will be within us too and let us start seeking it within our own being.

Meditation and Samadhi is the name of searching the Divine hidden in our own self. In Dhyan or Bhakti Samadhi, the first level program of Oshodhara, during the last three days we have an introduction with the Divine within.

But remember, you do not come face to face with Lord Ganesha nor Shiva neither Vishnu but with the God that is hidden within you in the manifestation of consciousness, your own soul, your being.
